One of the tallest buildings in the heart of Daniel Island’s business sector, One Central Island Plaza, is located between local hotspot New Realm Brewery and technology company Blackbaud. Located at 115 Central Island St., the four-story, 75,000-square-foot office building provides workspace for nine diverse businesses ranging from real estate to insurance to health care.
After the plaza was built in 2015, HCA Healthcare became the lead tenant of the Class “A” building. HCA South Atlantic Division is headquartered on Daniel Island and includes 11 hospitals across South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The company aims to promote and protect the health and well-being of communities by expanding access to quality care, training future physicians and recruiting leading physicians to their facilities.
Tara Stewart, assistant vice president of the division, highlighted the company’s recent growth, “Through employment, strategic partnerships, donations and volunteering initiatives, we strive to make the communities where we live and work stronger. Last year we donated over $1.2 million to local organizations and supported over 120 nonprofits throughout the region.”
Stewart said the best part about working with the company is being committed to the care and improvement of human life.
