Look Who’s Here: 885 Island Park Drive

If you’re looking for a building with good eats, a brokerage team, and physical wellness and beauty services, 885 Island Park Drive has it all.

Steps away from the Central Island Square Apartments and Publix is 885 Island Park Drive, a building that encapsulates Daniel Island’s vibrant retail and office commercial district. Built in 2002, the mixed-use building is two stories tall and holds approximately 23,360 square feet of space.

These are its tenants:

The David J. Joseph Company
The David J. Joseph Company is a global leader in scrap metal recycling. Operating internationally, the scrap metal brokerage manages producers and consumers of scrap and scrap substitutes, along with ferrous and nonferrous metal recycling and transportation services.

The company’s mission is to recycle one of the world’s most reusable materials, while conserving precious natural resources in the process.

“We are extremely pleased to be a part of the Daniel Island community,” said Julie Wright, trading operations manager. “Our teammates love being within walking distance of several great places to dine, trails for lunchtime walks, and being included in all the yearlong events at the Guggenheim Terrace, including community blood drives that give us a chance to give back.”

FitWave Nutrition
FitWave Nutrition provides personalized nutrition counseling in person or virtually for various conditions, including sports nutrition, gut health, heart health, longevity and weight management. The business is owned by local registered dietitian nutritionists Kathryn Adel and Melissa Ohlson, who deliver evidence-based recommendations to provide sustainable nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Recommendations are based on an individual’s unique health and nutrition needs, with realistic goals that match the client’s schedule and lifestyle. Services include personalized nutrition recommendations, coaching, body composition analysis, meal plans and food log monitoring, to name a few.

“Daniel Island is home to both of us, and two of the unique characteristics of the community we love is the passion to live healthfully, and the support of local businesses,” the duo said. “We couldn’t ask for a better group to work with! There is a real sense of camaraderie in this community.”

Totality Medispa
Totality Medispa provides the latest generation of treatments and technologies to rejuvenate, revitalize, sculpt, and restore the face and body. Under the direction of Dr. Nicole Nadel, the spa offers a variety of treatments, including botox, fillers, body sculpting, skin tightening, facials, laser treatments, lash lifting, microblading and waxing.

Each appointment comes with a consultation prior to treatment, allowing the Medispa team to formulate a customized plan of services and products to achieve a patient’s aesthetic goals. According to the spa’s website, here you can “experience the art of aesthetic enhancement in a luxurious, discreet office where your personal cosmetic goals become reality.”

Agaves Cantina
Agaves Cantina serves Mexican cuisine and calls itself a “lowkey, unfussy Mexican eatery featuring classic standards,” according to the restaurant’s website. From sizzling fajitas to street tacos, the menu features a fusion of traditional Mexican recipes along with contemporary plates for all to enjoy.

Being one of the two options for Mexican food on Daniel Island, the cantina offers vegetarian and gluten free dishes along with happy hour specials.

Whether you’re seated inside, at the bar, or on the outdoor patio, Agaves serves up fresh ingredients and signature drinks at its many Charleston locations.

Made 2 Move Physical Therapy
Made 2 Move Physical Therapy is a physical therapy and ACL rehabilitation clinic that provides health expertise and physical recovery to patients. Their Daniel Island clinic was the first of its four locations in Charleston.

The center guides patients out of pain and back into a healthy, active lifestyle, according to its website.

“We empower our clients by giving them movement freedom and removing barriers to their long term health,” the website says. “We strive to inspire our community to prioritize their health so they can be strong, resilient, and adaptable.”
