Point Hope welcomes Cainhoy Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Marie Ingle has opened Cainhoy Veterinary Hospital, a new, full-service veterinary facility at Point Hope Commons off of Clements Ferry Road.

 

Construction of the more than 3,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility began in October 2020 and hospital doors officially opened Feb. 22.

 

Ingle, medical director and owner, is a Mount Pleasant resident and vet for over 20 years who envisions Cainhoy Veterinary Hospital to be a “community hospital” for the expanding areas of Cainhoy and Wando.

 

“We hope to honor the unique history and environment of the area, while supporting all members of the community,” she said in a statement. “Our goal is to team up with clients to provide their pets with the best possible care, while also being a good neighbor in the local area.”

 

Cainhoy Veterinary Hospital serves all dog and cat needs, from puppies and kittens, to senior pets. The team, which includes associate veterinarian Dr. Briell Dzierga, is proud to offer premier preventative care, diagnostic imaging, in-house laboratory services, dental care, and general and advanced surgical procedures. 

 

Members of the hospital team have undergone significant training to be designated cat-friendly and low-stress handling certified, meeting the high standards for ensuring a safe, low-stress experience in an environment that caters to pets’ unique physical and emotional needs. 

 

The veterinary team at Cainhoy Veterinary Hospital looks forward to continuing to meet local pets and staying true to their official mission statement: “To be Cainhoy’s premier Veterinary Hospital by delivering high-quality, individualized, and compassionate care to the community we serve.” 

 

In addition to providing a personal veterinary experience to each pet who walks through the door, Ingle takes an active role in supporting the small businesses of the local community.
