Daniel Island students get their hands dirty for Earth Day

For Earth Day on April 22, Daniel Island School students rolled up their sleeves and got a little “soil-ed” in the best way possible.

Kindergarten teacher Laine Holmes and seventh grade teacher Allison Woods teamed up their kindergarteners and seventh graders in the school garden, where they pulled weeds from carrot and strawberry beds and gave plants a much-needed drink.

Working side by side, the students turned the garden into a hands-on lesson in teamwork, responsibility, and growing something good together.
