DI honors 9/11 hereos, carries their names across the finish line
Twenty-four years after the morning that changed America forever, the Lowcountry once again stood in remembrance.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, the community gathered for the 14th Annual Charleston 9/11 Heroes Run, filling Seven Farms Drive with nearly 1,000 runners, walkers, and ruckers. Held by The Travis Manion Foundation, the race was more than miles covered; it was a living tribute to the courage of first responders, the resilience of military heroes, and the memory of every life lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
