Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Now in its fifth year, the Charleston Home + Design Show on Daniel Island promises to be the biggest and best yet, organizers say. The show is set for Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Volvo Car Open and includes the Daniel Island Luxury Home tour, which benefits the American Red Cross Carolina Lowcountry Chapter. Show highlights include: free admission and parking; thousands of custom home products and services, great prizes including a $5,400 home and garage organizing makeover, $2,000 Lowcountry Monkey Bars Garage organizing package, $2,000 Carolina Flooring Specialists Showroom-Style garage-floor coating package, $1,400 Home Organizing Package from STR8N UP Professional Organizing Services; Home Show Happy Hour on Saturday, April 30, 5 -8 p.m. with beer, wine and catered food at vendor displays plus live entertainment from John Cusatis; and, Food Truck Row featuring Roti Rolls, Towin’ the Dough, King of Pops The Daniel Island Luxury Home Tour is a tour of six private residences and will be held on Saturday, April 30, 1 – 5 p.m. While the Charleston Home + Design Show on Daniel Island is free, a separate ticket is required for the Daniel Island Luxury Home Tour. Tickets may be purchased online at danielislandluxuryhometour.com for $20 in advance, or $25 the day of (Cash Only) at Volvo Car Stadium. The builders and/or architects responsible for the design and construction of each home on the tour will be on hand to answer questions and talk one-on-one with the public. In addition to raising money for the Red Cross, the Home Tour has been very successful in helping to match those seeking to hire a general contractor and/or architect to design and build a home in the future, organizers note. This is the fifth year of the show and it is the only open-air home show in the area and it continues to grow. Organizers note that the show takes place at a key time of the year as tax refunds are being received and homeowners have a clear idea what types of projects they want to hire contractors for in their homes.
