Repairs expected to impact traffic Monday

A water main break along Daniel Island Drive and St. Thomas Island Drive may impact traffic Monday, Aug. 10.
Crews are slated to return Monday, Aug. 10, and City of Charleston officials anticipate the road will be closed - in both directions - as repairs are made.
Last Thursday and Friday, the water main repair blocked road access just past the intersection of Daniel Island Drive and Fairchild Street, continuing over both Beresford and Nowell Creeks, and ending at the start St. Thomas Island Drive. This stretch of road is used by commuters to connect to both Clements Ferry Road and Daniel Island proper without having to access I-526.
City of Charleston officials say the break occurred Thursday, Aug. 6.
