What's that big concrete building by the Waterfront?

The Daniel Island News received numerous calls and emails from readers asking what exactly this big, gray concrete building will be when it’s finished at the corner of Pier View Street and Daniels Landing Drive.

So we checked it out. Many have guessed it may be a parking garage – and they would be correct.

Construction crews are currently building luxury residences for the upcoming Marin at the Waterfront. However, for those wondering, this gray building is not the final product.

“Yes – the gray concrete building that is currently under construction is the parking garage at Marin, which will eventually be wrapped in residences upon completion,” said Jamie Gnazzo on behalf of the developer, East West Partners.

Renderings show, in due time, apartment units will be built on the exterior of the residential garage and the parking spaces will be hidden from view.
