Ball Crew needed for 2006 Family Circle Cup
Each spring one of the premier sporting events in the country returns to Daniel Island. For over three decades the Family Circle Cup has continued to showcase the top women tennis players in the world. This year’s tournament scheduled for April 8 – 16 is in need of juniors and adults wanting to participate as Ball Crew Members. Every year the tournament secures 175+ juniors (ages 11-18) and adults. All ball crew people are needed beginning Saturday, April 8 through Thursday, April 13. An All-Star Team will be selected based on their ability, performance and attitude for the quarters, semis and finals, April 14 - 16. A Ball Crew Informational Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14 at 12:30 p.m. at the Family Circle Tennis Center located on Daniel Island at 161 Seven Farms Drive, (843) 856-7900. Training sessions will also be held at the Tennis Center every Saturday beginning Jan. 21 through April 1, from 12:30 – 3 p.m. A final, mandatory training session will be held at the tournament site on Daniel Island on Friday, April 7.
