U.S Senate Special Republican Primary voting underway

The early voting period in the U.S. Senate Special Republican Primary runs Wednesday, Aug. 5, through Friday, Aug. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at early voting centers.

The official primary election day is Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Voters will decide the GOP's nomination for South Carolina's U.S. Senate seat to replace the late U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham. 

Voters who participated in the June Republican Primary, or who did not vote in either party's June primary, are eligible to vote in the Aug. 11 special primary. Voters who cast a ballot in the June Democratic Primary are not eligible to participate.
