Local "Family Feud" team wins big

Who took home the top prize on the January 27 episode of the Family Feud, which aired locally on Fox24? Survey says….the Kirkpatrick family of Charleston!
The fab five team was made up of Daniel Island residents Bill and Rick Kirkpatrick, John and Richard Kirkpatrick of Goose Creek, and Michael Kirkpatrick of West Ashley. The men scored big after winning five games, earning themselves a whopping $66,000 in prize money and the opportunity to choose between a new Ford Fusion Hybrid or a monetary settlement. The team decided to take home the cash!
“We are so proud of our five guys!” said Dianna Kirkpatrick, wife of Rick and mother of Richard, in an email to The Daniel Island News. “I think they represented the Lowcountry very well!”
Dianna also commented that Family Feud Host Steve Harvey noted the Kirkpatricks were the only all male team to finish as well as they did. The last game came down to “sudden death,” she said.
“The sudden death question was - name something that holds paper together, and our ‘clutch guy,’ Michael, buzzed in first and said ‘paperclip!’”
Their answers sealed the deal. All five episodes documenting the Kirkpatrick team’s victories were taped last July.
