Shirkey wins Game. Set. Match!

Bill Shirkey won Week One of “Game. Set. Match!” Presented by Ristorante LIDI. With the win, Shirkey earned two tickets to the finals of the Credit One Charleston Open.

 

Shirkey and his wife relocated to the area last year from Morris County, New Jersey. They moved to be closer to their two daughters, who moved here previously.

 

“I played the Game. Set. Match! contest for a chance to attend the finals,” he said. “I have attended the COCO the past three years, but this year is the first as a local resident. On my previous visits, I only was able to attend the qualifier matches.”

 

“I love to watch tennis (especially in person). And although I have not played tennis in quite some time, I have recently picked up and am enjoying playing pickleball,” Shirkey shared.
