February 2020 Real Estate Report
Home sales on Daniel Island saw a significant increase for February 2020, nearly doubling sales for the same period in 2019.
Twenty-three homes sold with a total sales volume of $21,287,233. The most expensive home sold was on Smythe Street for $2,835,000. The least expensive home sold was a condo on Bucksley Lane for $155,000.
As of March 10, there were 132 homes for sale, with 66 active and 66 under contract or pending. The sales for February are up approximately $5.8 million compared to January 2020.
According to Tricia Peterson, owner of Island House Real Estate, real estate on Daniel Island should continue to move pretty quickly and home prices are expected to rise due to limited inventory and high demand.
“Despite the limited inventory, Charleston was just ranked in the top 20 cities to find a home, according to realtor.com. Interest rates are lower than they have been in over 50 years, making it a great time to buy, and limited competition make it a great time to sell,” said Peterson.
