March 2019 Real Estate Report
A total of 35 homes sold in March on Daniel Island. That is a significant increase over the first two months of 2019. As of April 12, there were 188 homes for sale, with 88 either contingent or pending and 100 active. Total sales in March equaled $16,666,317.
The most expensive home sold was in Daniel Island Park on Lafar Street for $1,320,000. The least expensive home purchased was a condo on River Landing Drive for $154,000.
Hayden Jennings of Hayden Jennings Properties noted that Daniel Island activity has recently picked up, partly due to spring-like weather in the Lowcountry.
An interesting trend in March, according to Jennings, was the large increase in the number of single family homes that closed this March compared to last March.
“In March 2019, 21 single family units sold vs. 14 in March 2018.” Jennings also noted that the trend was just the opposite for condos, as the number of closed units were 39% less at 14 units this March vs. 23 last March.
