March 2020 Real Estate Report

The total number of homes sold on Daniel Island in March almost doubled, with 42 closings compared to 23 closings in February. The total sold volume in March was $34,525,845. Ten homes sold for more than $1 million and two of those sold for more than $2 million. 

As of April 10, 2020, there were 145 homes for sale with 104 active and 41 under contract or pending. 

According to Renee Reinert Pote, owner of Iron Gate Realty, while the real estate showings are down compared to normal numbers this time of year, the health of the market is still vibrant. 

“While we have seen a slowdown in showings, the few that are occurring are very serious buyers,” Pote said. 

She also noted that with additional inventory continuing to come on the market, the real estate market at this time seems to be doing fine.

“I cannot predict how it will be when we are out of harm’s way, however if the interest rates remain low, I believe the market will remain strong. This is only my personal opinion based on my 15 years of experience in various markets,” Pote said.
