In September, 26 homes sold on Daniel Island. As of Oct. 11, there were 75 homes listed for sale. Of those, there were 38 active listings and 37 listings were under contract.
The total sales for the month were $41,327,400. The most expensive home sold in September was a four-bedroom home in Daniel Island Park that sold for over $4.1 million. The least expensive home sold was a one-bedroom condo in Daniel’s Landing that sold for $275,000.
According to Renee Reinert Pote with Iron Gate Realty, the market on Daniel Island is slower than normal for this time of year. In addition to a lack of inventory and a rise in interest rates, Pote believes the current events around the world are causing the noticeable difference.
“As interest rates continue to climb and war breaks out in Israel, the real estate market feels a quietness. Typically there is a slowdown in the fall season as we near Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it seems the world events add even more to the slight slowdown we normally have during this time,” Pote noted.
