A September celebration: Concert in the Park 2025

Kids of all ages dance, sway, and groove to the music of Charlton Singleton and Friends.

Grammy Award-winning singer and Awendaw native Charlton Singleton belts out the hits, including the music of Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind, & Fire.

These kids get a step up on their dance moves as they stand on a speaker to groove to the music.

This friendly crew of young bikers gathers together to chill near an ice cream truck on a balmy Saturday night at Smythe Park.

Local band The Honeybees bring the buzz and zip to the annual Concert in the Park as they perform to kick off the evening.

Law enforcement officials from both the City of Charleston Police Department and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, joined with emergency personnel from Family Medical Transport, smile and stand watch as the festivities get underway.

Hundreds of families, children, and friends flocked to the lush, green confines of Smythe Park on Saturday, Sept. 6, to enjoy the annual Concert in the Park sponsored by the Daniel Island Home Owners’ Association.

Tailgate tables, lawn chairs, and comfy blankets dotted the entire park as attendees munched on homemade delights and sipped drinks to keep their whistle wet, as many danced to the music of The Honeybees and Grammy Award-winning singer Charlton Singleton and his friends.

The event was rescheduled after a rainout earlier this summer, but there was no rain this day, as the sunset lit bright until the night.
